Disa Lamp
Disa Lamp

Disa Lamp is a design icon we are proud to spotlight this month—an enduring piece that not only illuminates spaces but also enriches them with history and meaning. At Guidon Studio, we are continually drawn to creations that combine function, beauty, and storytelling. The Disa Lamp, celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2024, perfectly embodies these values.

Designed in 1954 by the acclaimed Spanish architect José Antonio Coderch, the Disa Lamp is far more than a light fixture—it is a symbol of emotive, functional, and timeless design. Crafted with noble materials and a sculptural form, the lamp reflects Coderch’s devotion to simplicity, honesty, and craftsmanship. Its warm, enveloping glow and clean, organic lines have captivated generations, including creative visionaries like Pablo Picasso.

This year, the legacy of the Disa Lamp is being celebrated with a special event hosted by TUNDS and MINIM, showcasing rare original sketches, prototypes, and a limited re-edition of 70 numbered units. Staying true to Coderch’s vision, the re-edition maintains the lamp’s unique flat-pack construction while embracing modern materials that enhance its durability and finish—an ideal blend of vintage integrity and contemporary relevance.

For interior designers and design enthusiasts alike, the Disa Lamp offers much more than ambient lighting. It represents a philosophy—design that respects space, emotion, and natural materiality. Whether integrated into minimalist homes, Mediterranean-inspired interiors, or contemporary spaces seeking warmth and depth, the Disa Lamp continues to prove that great design transcends time.

At Guidon Studio, we believe in elevating spaces with pieces that tell stories. The Disa Lamp reminds us that thoughtful lighting can transform an environment not just visually, but emotionally—turning a room into a sanctuary.

Thank you for continuing to journey with us through the world of timeless design.

Warm regards,

The Guidon Studio Team
