Met Gala 2025
Met Gala 2025: Atmosphere, Art, and Interior Storytelling

At Guidon Studio, we believe exceptional interior design tells a story—and few events do this better than the Met Gala. While the fashion world focuses on couture on the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, we’re captivated by the interiors that turn the museum into a living canvas. Since 2007, event designer Raúl Àvila has transformed the gala’s theme into breathtaking spatial experiences, and this year was no exception.

The 2025 theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” was both powerful and poetic. Inspired by Cy Gavin’s ethereal painting “Untitled (Sky),” the interiors channeled mythology, celestial symbolism, and Black artistry. Over 7,000 daffodils were suspended in the Great Hall—rising from a central well, becoming stars above, and cascading into reflective pools below. This immersive floral sculpture served as a metaphor for transformation, identity, and rebirth.

Even the arrivals carpet became a statement. Swapping tradition for symbolism, the midnight-blue path was adorned with yellow floral motifs and real daffodils, leading guests into a world that blurred the lines between fashion, space, and emotion. From lighting to floral storytelling, the Met Gala 2025 demonstrated that atmosphere and intention are as critical to design as form and function.

Events like the Met Gala reaffirm our core belief at Guidon Studio: great design transcends trend—it creates connection. It evokes memory, sparks emotion, and speaks a visual language that endures. We hope this inspires you as much as it inspired us.

Warm Regards,

Guidon Studio
