Pantone & Coldplay Illuminate Wembley Park With Yellow 25
August 28, 2025

Pantone Coldplay YELLOW 25 represents a powerful intersection of color, music, and public art. To celebrate 25 years since the release of Coldplay’s iconic song “Yellow,” Wembley Park commissioned Pantone to reimagine the Spanish Steps in a symphony of golden hues. Using the Pantone Matching System™, the installation transforms the emotional rhythm of the song into a visual experience. The 58 steps transition from pale tones at the base to radiant golds at the top, creating an evolving journey that culminates in the famous phrase, “And it was all yellow.”
At Guidon Studio, we view this collaboration as a vivid example of how design can transcend its medium. Pantone’s creative process—turning melody into color—mirrors our approach to interior design, where each space tells a story through rhythm, tone, and layering. Just as YELLOW 25 inspires movement with its energy, a well-designed interior guides flow and emotion, shaping how people interact with their surroundings.
In interior design, yellow is frequently used to bring warmth, optimism, and vitality to a space. The YELLOW 25 project showcases how nuanced applications of a single color can create dynamic emotional effects—an approach we adopt in our own work. Whether in residential or commercial projects, layering shades of yellow can evoke energy, positivity, and creativity, much like Pantone’s installation transforms Wembley Park into a grand tribute to Coldplay’s legacy. We encourage our community to draw inspiration from this project and contemplate how the intentional use of color can create meaningful and memorable spaces.
Warm Regards,
