Designed by the award-winning Irish firm Heneghan Peng Architects, this cultural landmark is a masterclass in merging contemporary design with ancient heritage.

Spanning over 500,000 square meters, the museum houses more than 100,000 artifacts, offering an immersive experience into Egypt’s millennia-old history. Strategically positioned near the Giza Pyramids, the building itself tells a story. Its alabaster stone façade reflects the sun’s movement across the desert, creating a living canvas that shifts in tone throughout the day. Designed with three axial views perfectly aligned with the Pyramids of Giza, the structure guides visitors through a journey both physical and symbolic.

At the heart of the museum stands an 11-meter statue of Ramses II, so monumental that the building was designed around it. From this striking entry, visitors ascend via a grand staircase leading to panoramic views and archaeological wonders such as the Tutankhamun Collection and the Solar Boat. The museum is not just a vessel for preservation—it is an architectural narrative that bridges past and future through intelligent spatial storytelling.
