Interior Design Trends from Design Miami Paris

Modernist interior design trends take center stage at this year’s most anticipated design event: Design Miami Paris 2024. At Guidon Studio, we’re thrilled to share highlights from this spectacular showcase, which unfolded in the historic Hôtel de Maisons during Paris Art Week. The fair was a dazzling celebration of Modernism and contemporary material culture, drawing international attention from icons like Natalie Portman and Queen Rania during its exclusive preview.

With 24 of the world’s most influential design galleries on display, the event offered a curated journey through innovative furniture, sculptural works, and conceptual design. Key themes emerged around the legacy of Modernism. Galerie Patrick Seguin paid tribute to French masters such as Jean Prouvé and Le Corbusier, while Galerie Downtown-Laffanour presented bold pairings of historic and contemporary pieces, including works by Charlotte Perriand. European ceramics and 20th-century Italian design were also spotlighted, with standout creations from Carlo Mollino and Gio Ponti shown by Lebreton and Rossella Colombari.

Material innovation played a starring role. From Virgil Abloh’s bronze Tower Hills chair to Jean Touret’s textural wooden sculptures, the dialogue between materiality and form was mesmerizing. Fornasetti’s collaboration with Giò Ponti brought historical reverence into the present, while Galerie Maxime Flatry’s lacquer art display featured Katsu Hamanaka and Jean Dunand, offering a tactile, emotional connection to craftsmanship.
