As always, Milan Design Week delivered an unforgettable experience, and Salone del Mobile 2025 was no exception—an immersive celebration of creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship that continues to inspire us at Guidon Studio. From historic villas to raw industrial spaces, the city itself became the canvas for bold artistic expressions and breakthrough design concepts. The major houses—Gucci, Hermès, Flos, Range Rover, and Saint Laurent—transformed Milan’s architecture into living exhibitions, reaffirming the city’s role as a global design capital.

Prada Frames: In Transit stood out with its setting in Milano Centrale’s Padiglione Reale and the restored 1950s Arlecchino train. Curated by Formafantasma, the event hosted dynamic talks exploring digital networks, sustainability, and infrastructure. The message was clear—design must serve both society and the environment, working in harmony with the natural world.

Alcova offered a raw, poetic counterpoint with exhibitions across five unconventional sites, from greenhouses to a former synthetic fiber factory. Each location embraced decay and history, creating a dialogue between space and design. The installations were thoughtfully integrated into their surroundings, blurring the lines between art, architecture, and storytelling in a way that continues to spark conversation throughout the design world.

Saint Laurent’s exhibition of never-before-seen Charlotte Perriand pieces was a masterclass in timeless design. The limited-edition recreations, including the floating Banquette and the layered Table Mille-Feuilles, reflected a deep respect for heritage and craft. It was a refined moment of calm amid the energy of the week.

Milan reminded us that design is more than aesthetics—it’s about ideas that shape the way we live. The creativity and forward thinking showcased throughout the week offer fresh perspectives that continue to inspire our work at Guidon Studio as we explore new materials, challenge norms, and push creative boundaries.
