Jaipur Rugs transforming a tennis court into The Court of Carpets

Jaipur Rugs first unveiled its visually stunning campaign, “The Court of Carpets,” in 2024—a concept that brilliantly merged sport, design, and storytelling. In collaboration with tennis star Rohan Bopanna, the brand transformed a traditional clay tennis court into a striking mosaic made up of 93 handwoven rugs. This symbolic match between Bopanna and a team of weavers celebrated the intricate connection between craft and athleticism, while also marking the launch of Jaipur Rugs’ first showroom in London. Released during Wimbledon and ahead of Bopanna’s journey to the Paris Olympics, the campaign stood out for its originality and cultural depth.

This year, as the world tuned in to the Wimbledon 2025 final, “The Court of Carpets” made a graceful return across media channels, reaffirming its relevance and impact. The elegance and tradition embodied by the tournament aligned seamlessly with the artistic spirit of the campaign, reminding us that both sport and design can be powerful expressions of precision, heritage, and beauty.
