At Guidon Studio, we value the combination of design, history, and luxury that results in truly memorable experiences. This week, our attention is on the iconic Orient Express, a train steeped in glamour and mystery revived for the modern era. Restored initially by Sir James Sherwood in 1977, the Orient Express showcases timeless design, featuring Art Deco interiors created by renowned figures such as René Prou and René Lalique. These carriages continue to exude elegance and charm, making every journey a step back into a world of refined sophistication.

As the Orient Express looks to 2024, exciting new developments are set to enhance its legendary status. This includes a new route from Paris to the picturesque coastal town of Portofino, offering travelers the chance to experience European landscapes in unparalleled luxury. Additionally, the Eastern and Oriental Express, its Southeast Asian counterpart, will introduce a new menu by acclaimed chef André Chiang, promising a dining experience that reflects the region’s rich culinary heritage. To top it off, the upcoming L’Observatoire, a sleeper car designed by the French artist JR, will blend contemporary art with the train’s timeless elegance, offering passengers an experience that is both visually and emotionally captivating.

The Orient Express is more than just a mode of travel; it’s an experience where the past and future converge in perfect harmony. At Guidon Studio, we draw inspiration from this blend of history and modernity, which reminds us that exceptional design knows no bounds. As the Orient Express continues to set new standards in luxury travel, we invite you to embrace the journey and let timeless design transport you to new heights.

Warm regards,
