This week, we are thrilled to discuss the 8th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Palm Beach. We had the privilege of attending this incredible event, which left us feeling truly inspired. The show featured stunning interiors and innovative design concepts, showcasing the immense talent and creativity of today’s top designers. Beyond the breathtaking aesthetics, the event also served as a significant fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club of New York, making it a meaningful celebration of design with purpose.

Among the 23 participating designers and architects, two spaces particularly captivated us. Moniomi Design’s “11:11” redefined the concept of a recreation room with its luxurious take on gaming. A rich palette of burgundies and mauves, custom-designed marble game tables, and a spectacular tented ceiling created a sophisticated yet playful atmosphere. We were especially enamored with the graphic Armina Stone backdrop and the handcrafted Umpire Locker bar cabinet—details that elevated the space into an immersive and artistic experience.

Equally mesmerizing was Bierly Drake and Steele, Inc.’s “Jardin Botanique” dining room, which served as a botanical haven. It featured an exquisite Sanderson wall covering of fern fronds set against a dramatic charcoal background. The coffered ceiling, painted in an electric “parrot green,” added unexpected architectural depth, while layers of green-and-white textiles brought timeless elegance to the space.

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House continues to set the standard for excellence in design, and we are already eagerly anticipating next year’s edition. This year’s event not only served as an endless source of inspiration but also reinforced the powerful impact that design can have in supporting vital community initiatives.
