Walking through Diocletian’s Palace in Split, Croatia we were reminded of the enduring beauty of its centuries-old mosaic flooring, handcrafted from black, white, and grey stone. More than a historic detail, it illustrates how thoughtful materiality can give a space its own identity and remain relevant across generations.
