Today we’d like to introduce you to Max Guidon.

Hi Max, we are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and have always dreamed of becoming an architect. However, amidst the challenging circumstances in my home country, I decided to pursue a degree in Production Engineering. Despite this deviation from my initial dream, I graduated Cum Laude, and my degree gave me invaluable skills that would later add to my interior design journey.

After years of working in the family business, I decided to chase my passion for design and moved to Miami. At this point, I was still torn between architecture and design, but as I delved deeper into the design world, I knew I had found my calling, and graduated with honors as the class valedictorian.

The pandemic brought unprecedented challenges, especially in the professional sphere. Despite the hardships, it was during these uncertain times that I made the decision to launch my own design studio, even amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic. Venturing into entrepreneurship during these times was challenging, but Miami’s demand for interior design services remained high, fueled by the city’s allure. Despite the challenges, I seized the opportunity, and my studio flourished.

As I reflect on my journey, I see it as a testament to the power of resilience and determination. Each step, from engineering to entrepreneurship, has shaped me into the designer and entrepreneur I am today. And while the road has been anything but smooth, I’m grateful for every twist and turn that has led me to where I am now, eagerly anticipating the next chapter of growth and innovation.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

It’s been anything but a smooth road, after deciding to leave my homeland to pursue a new life elsewhere including some brief stints in Australia and Mexico, I decided to finally settle in Miami and call this wonderful city my home.

Transitioning to life in Miami, presented its challenges, but I embraced these struggles as opportunities for growth. Each obstacle became a lesson, helping me to develop resilience and fortitude in the face of adversity. While the road hasn’t always been smooth, it’s been a journey filled with invaluable experiences and lessons learned.

My path has been characterized by resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to pursuing my passion despite the obstacles in my way. And while the journey continues to present its challenges, I am grateful for the opportunities for growth and self-discovery that have shaped me into who I am today.

What do you like and dislike about the city?

What I like the most about Miami is its vibrant energy and diverse culture. The city is constantly facing new creativity, innovation, and a melting pot of worldwide influences. From the stunning beaches to the eclectic neighborhoods, there is always something new and exciting to explore. I especially appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit that permeates the city, making it a dynamic hub for business and creativity.

Miami has its challenges, including navigating the crazy traffic and accommodating the influx of tourists that flock to the city.
